Richard Ziglar’s latest collaboration with Barry Yeoman has taken him back to Louisiana culture, but this time via Northern California. To listen to stories about the French Creole migration from South Louisiana to Northern California, please check out their latest radio documentary, Zydeco Nation.

As an independent radio producer, Richard’s work has aired nationally on the American Public Media show The Story. He has also produced work for AARP.org, Oprah’s Harpo Productions, Duke University and the North Carolina Arts Council. Selections of his work are archived on this website.

During 2010 Ziglar and Yeoman produced two major radio documentaries. Both of these radio documentaries are about aging blues artists in the South. The first, Truckin’ My Blues Away, was commissioned by AARP Prime Time Radio. The second, Still Singing the Blues, focuses on New Orleans and South Louisiana blues and was financed, in part, by a grant from the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
